Solidarity changes the world and the allfunds team is part of the change

Tribute to Juan Alcaraz: Allfunds launches a solidarity crowdfunding campaign in his memory.

We want to pay tribute to Juan Alcaraz, founder of Allfunds and, for many of us, a great leader

Juan had a very special way of understanding commitment: every year he personally promoted charitable initiatives aimed at supporting projects in need.

As a tribute to his way of doing things, we wish to launch a crowdfunding initiative in his name to support one of the projects he would have chosen without hesitation: Hogar Nazaret, in Peru, led by Father Ignacio Doñoro, whom he always admired.

All funds raised will be used to finance the windows and doors of the girls’ school, thereby helping to improve their educational and living conditions.

This initiative is born as a gesture of remembrance and recognition of Juan, and as a way to continue supporting the causes he believed in.

What is Hogar Nazaret?

Hogar Nazaret is a project located in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, led by Father Ignacio María Doñoro, which welcomes and cares for children living in extreme poverty.
It provides them with a safe home, education, medical care and, above all, an environment where they can feel loved, protected and hopeful about the future.

Juan’s funeral will be officiated by Father Ignacio María Doñoro and will be held on May 12th at San Francisco de Borja Parish (Calle Maldonado 1, Madrid), at 8:00 p.m.

Ideas for Fundraising Goals

Individual Fundraising Goals

You can get involved by doing something special for you. You will transform this personal challenge into donations for NGO’s causes.

For example, participate in sports events like a tennis, paddle or golf competitions (among other sports), or do a real effort to demonstrate how important is for you to help an NGO. You can cut your hair, stop watching TV or quit smoking. You can also create original challenges that attract the attention of everyone and be a famous challenger making up funny solidarity challenges like the “Ice Bucket Challenge”.

Celebrating Fundraising Goal

There are a lot of opportunities in you daily life to give to others. For example, you can create a solidarity challenge on your birthday. You can tell your family and friends that this year you don’t want  to receive gifts and instead this can be transformed in donations.

Group Fundraising Goals

You can get donations creating a solidarity goal with your colleagues, your friends or your family. These goals are very impressive because several people come together with the same purpose: to help others.

Some ideas would be organize charity markets, sell  cookies, create a solidarity breakfast, participate together in a sport or cultural competition or make personal challenges that mean something special.
